Position:- Contract Manager

Location:-Milton Keynes

Salary :- £35,000

  • 25 Days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to work for an award-winning company that is privately owned and growing rapidly, this company is run by an entrepreneurial management team who genuinely want to make a difference in the world. They build and maintain all of their own technology it is a fast-paced environment that offers the right candidate an environment within which they can flourish.

The successful applicant will be responsible for two distinct elements in this relationship, Supplier Management and Client Management.

The individual must be confident in delivering messaging to both clients and suppliers, over the phone, email and face to face and be positive when dealing with any opposition that may arise.

The role requires an individual with experience working in the construction industry as well as, supplier, stakeholder and account management skills. The candidate must have a passion for people and have a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and developing complex supply chains
  • Delivering a robust and competitive supply chain
  • Support with the onboarding of suppliers
  • Delivery of a strong communication strategy to suppliers
  • Supporting suppliers on a day to day basis in their use of the technology
  • Managing ad hoc requests from suppliers
  • Delivering presentations and briefings to suppliers
  • Updating targets and creating progress reports
  • Ownership of a client relationship management
  • Managing client expectations
  • Assisting the sales team when promoting and selling this account to external clients
  • The role will require travel around London (expenses paid) and occasional flexible working

Essential Skills:

  • Degree educated, second class honours or above,
  • Experience working in or with the Construction Industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Customer driven with the ability to build long term relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience of working in Procurement, Contract Management, Account Management, Sales and/or Supplier Relationship Management roles
  • Experience of working with Procurement Law (PCR 2015) or OJEU
  • Experience of implementing change management procedures
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
  • Efficient management of KPI’s or SLA’s with suppliers
